Title: Principle Planning Officer
Salary: Dependant on experience

Description: The postholder will be a member of a multi-disciplinary district team responsible for implementing development plans and dealing with Development Control in a designated area of the Borough, also assisting in the preparation of development plans and participating in project work.

The postholder will be responsible to the Area Planning Manager primarily for dealing with more complex planning applications but will also assist in the preparation and implementation of development plans and participate in project work.

Education and Experience

* Membership of RTPI or RICS (Planning Division)

*Three years relevant experience of planning development control, appeals, planning projects.

*Ability to attend a significant number of meetings at various locations outside normal working hours.

*Car owner/driver or provision of personal transport.
